Amazon.fr has ABSOLUTE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS for €11,50. No, that’s not a typo.

I got my copy, sadly for about €60, which is still not full priced, a few weeks ago, it’s a very pretty book. Miller’s art is gorgeous oversized, and I’ve talked about DKR before.

EDIT: It’s up in price. €39,99 now.

gotham-central-book-oneGotham Central. A Bat-Book hardly featuring Batman, and that’s exactly it’s greatest strength.

It focuses on the Gotham City Police Department’s Major Crime Unit, with Brubaker writing the Night Shift and Rucka writing the Day Shift.

It’s just a brilliant book, and DC has recently(-ish) started collecting them in shiny pretty hardcovers.

Batman Year 100Batman Year 100 is one of the best Bat-Books ever. Because Paul Pope rocks. And it’s just a damn good story.

Taking place exactly 100 years after the first appearance of The Batman, it’s a futuristic, anarchistic take on Batman.

And it features panels like this:

Batman Mad LoveBatman: Mad Love, which was of course adapted into the great Batman TAS episode of the same name.

I don’t quite know what to write about it, to be honest. It’s just an excellent Batman comic about the origin of Harley Quinn.

The HC comes with some great back up tales, of which my favourite is Two Of A Kind, a great Two Face tale.

So, yes, you should own this.
