Marcus isn’t very good at metaphors.

Mercenary Journal

Mercenary Journal

This strip gave me so much trouble. I was literally working on it up to five minutes before it went live. I think originally just the top three panels repeated, putting Marcus in an endless loop. It didn’t quite work. I like it fine now, displacing Marcus in time and space, but it was a lot of work getting to that point. Lesson learned: don’t start drawing a strip with only a half-formed idea.

Originally, it only had the three panels of characters shooting poor Murkowski over and over again. But I thought it needed more, so I tinkered with it a bit.

And The Winner Is…

My significant other hates the way I draw her in the strip. Which, admittedly, is pretty poorly. This lead to a storyline later where Ed Contradictory is outed for not being able to draw women.
